Car Seat Program

The Cheboygan County Sheriff Department is teaming up with the CMH Women's & Children's Health Services to distribute free child safety seats to local families in need. It's part of a program made available through a two-year grant from the Office of Highway Safety Planning. Besides 260 free child safety seats, the grant also helped fund seat belt enforcement initiatives and increased patrols for drunk drivers in Cheboygan County. Sheriff Dale Clarmont is pictured presenting a couple of the seats to providers at Women's Children's.
