"Rushing for a Cure" a Success!

Cheboygan High School Junior, Kristin Stempky helped spearhead the effort this fall to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. "Rushing for a Cure" was the theme for a Chief Football game with Ogemaw Heights. Special pink t-shirts and other items were sold in anticipation of the October 23rd contest. Even though the game ended up being cancelled due to the influenza outbreak, $5,100.00 was raised for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at CMH. The money will be used to help promote digital mammography. The picture on the left shows Stempky presenting the check to Mike Grisdale, CMH Director of Public Relations at the Chief Football Banquet, November 29 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
