"Personal Care, Close to Home"

CMH welcomes Lisa Galloway, D.O. to Cheboygan. She is on staff with the Cancer Center at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital. Dr. Galloway will be teaming up with Renae Vaughn, NP and staff to provide services at the Cheboygan Oncology Clinic. Dr. Galloway is scheduled to see patients on Tuesdays in Cheboygan. Todd Erickson, M.D. also sees patients at the Cheboygan Oncology Clinic.

The Cheboygan Oncology Clinic is located on the first floor of the Cheboygan Memorial Health Center, 740 South Main Street.

On January 30, the Cheboygan Chiefs' High School Hockey Team presented a check for $375 to the Cheboygan Oncoloyg Clinic. The hockey players helped raise the money during the "Skate for a Cure" campaign.

Pictured above are the Cheboygan High School Girls' JV and Varsity basketball teams along with some of the staff from the Cheboygan Oncology Clinic. The teams participated in the "Hooping for A Cure" game at St. Ignace, February 25, 2010, raising $1,586.05 to help patients at the clinic.

Jean and her daughter, Betsy Gahn (far right) also operate the Miche Bag Advantage location in Cheboygan. For each HOPE purse sold (pictured in lower right hand corner) they donated $2 towards helping local cancer patients. OVer the last few months, they sold enough purses to be able to provide $400 worth of gas cards for patients at the Cheboygan Oncology Clinic. Also, $5 from each HOPE purse sold went to cancer research.

March 26, 2010 - A local group of women have been busy making special hats for chemotherapy patients. These hats are made from materials purchased through recent donations.
